Our Lines & Light journey continues as we begin one of the most valuable skills in realistic drawing—learning how to measure what you see.

In Month Five, we'll explore simple measuring techniques that artists use to accurately capture proportions, angles, and relationships between objects. These foundational skills will help you create drawings that look more realistic while building confidence in your observational abilities.

This session will focus on:
📏 Measuring proportions with your pencil
👁 Training your eye to see shapes and relationships
📐 Comparing angles and distances accurately
✏️ Translating observations into realistic drawings
🌿 Building confidence through guided practice

Together, we'll complete a series of measuring exercises before applying these techniques to a finished drawing designed to strengthen your observational skills and prepare you for even more advanced projects in future classes.

This series is designed for creative growth—not perfection. Each month builds upon the last, giving you practical skills that make drawing feel more natural and approachable.
